Re: Battlefield2 help PLEASE!!!!

Reasons i can think of:

1) You have made some hardware/operating system changes or changed to drivers that conflict with game. Have you done anything of that sort?

2) The usual overheating or lack of power. Check your temperatures and voltages.

3) Game bug that has nothing to do with you. Maybe you updated the game and new version has some issues?

Re: Battlefield2 help PLEASE!!!!

I get this sometimes, and its very irritating isnt it!!! My best advice as a "fix" is to remove the disk from the drive, and reboot the pc, dont play it for a while, and then it should be fine. Make sure also you have the major update for it that deals with some memory leak problems if i remember correctly. I warn you however, its huge, almost 500mb so it could take some time

Re: Battlefield2 help PLEASE!!!!

I had this problem when I first installed BF2, I went through a number of troubleshooting routines until I found the correct one. First thing you may want to do is visit http://www.punkbuster.com/ click on Battlfield 2, Click download, click "For Players" (pbsec.htm) download then add BF2 to the menu and search for updates, update PB then try again. You may also want to check your cdkey's legitimacy, the game may be booting you because it sees your copy of BF2 as pirated. Either uninstall and reinstall or click the Start menu on your desktop, click run, regedit, then expand the folder titled EA Games, BF2, and change your CDKEY via this method, hope this helped.

BTW, it's very important to make a backup of the registry before making any alterations: Here's some info on the registry and how to backup:
