game crash.

So my system specs are.
intel core 2 duo 2.6 ghz
450 watt power supply
8800 gts 640 mb bfg graphic card
3gb ddr2 800 ram. 2xhyperx 1xballistix tracer
Im playin assassins creed and during gameplay when i jump from wall to wall i notice a bit of a lag. It starts off as once or twice then it gets more rapid and then my game crashes no error messages are displayed though.
Anyone know what the problem is? thanks for the help in advance.

Re: game crash.

Hmm, try re-installing the game and if you see no effect, then use a better PSU cause this one seems to be a bit low for your computer..
If still you got the same problem... post here so i can continue on my thoughts :P

You can just jump to step two, if you have already reinstalled it.

Re: game crash.

Assassins Creed is a beast of a game as far as minimum specs go

Below are the absolute minimum requirements to play the game and as you can see your PC is just barely hitting some of them.

If you have basically anything else running in the background I dont think your pc will be able to run this game.

In order to play this game properly, your PC MUST meet or exceed these minimum requirements:

Supported OS: Windows XP / Vista (only)
Processor: Dual core processor 2.6 GHz Intel Pentium D or AMD Athlon 64 X2 3800+ (Intel Core 2 Duo 2.2 GHz or AMD Athlon 64 X2 4400+ or better recommended)
RAM: 2 GB (3 GB recommended)
Video Card: 256 MB DirectX 10.0–compliant video card or DirectX 9.0–compliant card with Shader Model 3.0 or higher (512 MB video card recommended) (see supported list)*
Sound Card: DirectX 9.0 or 10.0 compliant sound card (5.1 sound card recommended)
DirectX Version: DirectX 10.0 libraries (included on disc)
DVD-ROM: DVD-ROM dual-layer drive
Hard Drive Space: 12 GB
Peripherals Supported: Keyboard, mouse, optional controller (Xbox 360 Controller for Windows recommended)

*Supported Video Cards at Time of Release:
ATI RADEON X1300-1950 / HD 2000 / 3000 series
NVIDIA GeForce 6600-6800 / 7 / 8 / 9 series

Laptop versions of these cards may work but are NOT supported. These chipsets are the only ones that will run this game.

Basically if you really want to enjoy this game for what it is then buy a 360 or PS3

Re: game crash.

holy cow that game is a beast haha. I run the game fine though for some reason. I think its my temperature but im not sure? The ntune reports a temp of 60 degrees celcius constant during game play. But i just took out my computer and took out a piece of ballistix ram. it was really hot. This is probably one of the few times i let my computer run constantly since it was an expensive comp. Anyone else think i need a better psu? I think mines adequate because its a good brand but the voltage is low i do agree.

Re: game crash.

I dont think reinstalling the game will help cause crysis also lags a bit and i think crysis takes more out of a computer than assassins creed. I used to be able to play it without lag its not major lag but it is noticeable.
