Re: Choppy game play

Well even on vista it is giving you the problem? I would try updating your nvidia drivers, and check that something isn't hogging resources when you play.

Re: Choppy game play

It may or may not, if it was corruptly installed than it may be causing a conflict.... Maybe trying to roll back your driver to its "factory drivers" and seeing if it causes problems there....

Re: Choppy game play

Yeah, what is shooting up the games load %? If its the game try reinstalling, but first update your directx.

Re: Choppy game play

Hmm, you expect to run a game with no stress to cpu? My loads are 100% on every friggin game, choppy or not choppy. Well maybe its different with dual cores - got no clue about them.

Re: Choppy game play

Yeah that is possible. But you do meet the System Requirements quite well. The only one is the video card which is recommended with 256mb and you have that exactly. I would say that if u had an 8800 we might not be having that problem but we don't know that either.

Your system may also be heavily fragmented... Have you tried running a defrag in a while?

Re: Choppy game play

hmm do you have any antivirus software or messenger programs or anything running while your playing the game? could be whats using the cpu a lot. Also a long time ago on my old PC i had a similar problem, caused by a corrupt print spooler file on a printer driver, you have any printers installed?

Also try opening task manager by pressing ctrl+alt+delete at the same time and go to the list of processes. Check if any on that list are hogging the cpu apart from the game.
