Re: HlSS problem

Which game are you talking about?

8KHz is very low quality for music. You need at least 22KHz, preferably 44KHz for CD quality.

Not sure about the hacking thing. It depends on which game and what protection system they use, but usually there needs to be a password to go with the user name.

Re: HlSS problem

Have you followed the tutorial located at http://www.hlss.us/setuphlss/ it also links to other tutorials explaining exactly how to convert the music.

Have you got enough resources to run the game comfortably?

Re: HlSS problem

Make sure its saved as WAV, PCM Signed 16bit Mono @ 11025hz (For CS:S, TF2, GMOD) you will need PCM Signed 8bit Mono @ 8000hz (For CS:1.6, TF, and all other old source games)
You may also need to reduce the Bass and volume by -3db
(This is a good free tool to edit Audio files http://www.goldwave.com/)

This will only happen if you have logged in on a Public PC (LAN center) and did not uncheck the "Do not save personal data" or you have given someone your account name & Password, it is useless without one or the other

Edit: Please use HLSS respectfully and do not annoy people with it. Be carefully as some Admins give out instant Bans on people who use HLSS.
I myself do not mind it but if used excessively i will ban.
