Error Message: "Please insert DVD ROM"

OK so I just built a customized monster of a computer and bought several games with it including Call of Duty 4 and Battlefield 2142.

I installed each of them just fine, but when I try to play either one of 'em, I get an error message telling me to "Insert DVD ROM and restart the application."

Well, I do, and I get the same message every time!!

I have an HP 16x DVD +/- RW w/lightscribe and other games, including Crysis, Swat 4, BF 2, and Counter Strike all work, what is up with these games? I was told that it could be the motherboard drivers...installed those from the CD that came with it. Then was told it could be the DVD firmware needs to be updated...but for the life of me, I cannot find anything ANYWHERE about updated firmware for the HP product I own.

Please help! I spent a lot on these games and I really want to play them! Any help is very much appreciated!

hmmmmm.. i had same prob. with my bf2142 --BUT im running Windows Vista!!----can u right clik on your 2141 online icon-clik properties-clik compatibility then chek mark the ''Run this program as an administrator""--- make sur u hit me bak if that dzn't help-- chk fire wall settings???
