Battle for middle earth 2
Hi 2 Days ago I bought Bfme2, Installed it and ran it I got the game.dat error, googled that and found that I need to patch it. So I ran the updater it updated fine ran the game and now i get the directx error. Here are my specs.

Yea your video card is probly built into the motherboard, and doesn't support one or two accelerations. So yes most likely you'll need to buy a video card , more ram wouldn't hurt too.
From the looks of it your dell 3000 only has 3 pci slots and no agp or pci-e slots. While upgrading your video isn't impossible , its kind of limited. Your pretty much only options would be the ati x1300 or x1550 pci. As for ram , download everest in my sig, install , then use the report/ repot wizard tool and post back what it says. We can then see whats in the pc as far as ram and a vc and so on.

Yea from the looks of it the video card on your pc doesn't support alot of things like the shaders for the game. So you'll need to get a video card. Ok your pc has 3 pci slots and no agp/pcie slots , so a good video upgrade would be and ati x1300 pci or an x1550. Also , if you would like to upgrade your ram (which you should anyway) the pc uses pc3200 ddr ram , 2 ram slots with a maximum of 1gb (512mb each).
