DoW-soulstorm Campaign loading issue

Hi there. First time posting so I'm not sure if I am going to forget to add a detail but here goes.

Just purchased Dawn of war soulstorm. The system requirements are virtually identical to all previous expansions in this series. However when trying to play the campaign mode the loading screen takes a ridiculous amount of time to get through (5-11 minutes) It tends to consume the rest of the computers ability to do anything as well. It takes 3-5 minutes just for alt-tab to respond after hitting it. Although after having done so when I return to the game screen it has moved on to the actual "enter game" screen. Windows has determined that i have the most up-to-date drivers possible. And none of my other games (including the previous expansions)are having any issues at all.

I am using windows Vista 32-bit. Over a gig of RAM. intel pentium D 3.2 GHZ duo core. Intel 82945G express chipset family card.

I love this game. Help me!!!!!!

I should be getting this game on Monday so I will try and help a fellow DOW fan out.
if your machine is old then you might have hardware conflicting with your CPU, in my comp my DVD drive was busted and my computer took forever! to do anything when I unpluged it my computer then back to normal loading everything at high speeds. You could try somthing like that and if all your drives are up to date all I can think of is its got somthing to do with A) CPU or B) the game (if everything else on your computer is working normal speed including other games)
