pc is a mess - help me out

So my pc completely broke itself a month ago. Couldn't even start it up. I put it in a pc repair shop, 3 weeks later I get it back and it's been reformatted and everything seems fine.

I can browse internet, watch videos and listen to music etc, but when I start any game the same thing happens. It plays fine for a few minutes, then freezes and the sound loops. This goes on for about 30 seconds and then I can play it again for a few minutes then the same thing happens.

I've tried this with every game whether its quake 3 or Half life but same thing happens.

I've updated all my drivers but I have no idea how to fix this.

Specs:
Windows XP Home
Nvidia 6600GT
AMD athlon 3200+
Creative Soundblaster live 5.1 audio
1 gig of ram.

um, temperatures are all normal, the ones that aren't normal are cooler than they should be so I guess that's a good thing.

Hi,

I agree with 1 g0t 0wn3d >> check the +12V in Speedfan.
What power supply do you have and how old is it?
