Call of Duty 4 Peformance

Well, got COD 4 on my PC thinking ide be fine. I get 60-70 fps on CS Source. Anyways, the game play is REALLY choppy and I cant really seem to fix it with the settings. Here are my stats, what is causing this? I thought it was my video card than someone said processor.

Windows XP
Intel Pentium 4 CPU 3.00 GHz
3.06 GHz, 2.00 GB of Ram
ATI All-in-Wonder X600 series

thanks

Re: Call of Duty 4 Peformance

Well your cpu and graphics card are both pretty outdated for that game. Barely exceeding minimum requirements usually doesnt give very good fps.

EDIT: I was about to try that game too but my setup is pretty similar to yours so maybe Ill skip :)

Re: Call of Duty 4 Peformance

Try reducing the game settings like antialising, texture quality, screen resolution, etc.

Do you have any programs running at the same time?

Re: Call of Duty 4 Peformance

I'd make sure you turn off antivirus as well as any other programs, as suggested by koala. Not a problem if you are offline playing it solo.
