[SOLVED] Oblivion Issue - Help
I have been having some problems with Oblivion lately. I have had the game for some time and never had any problems. And recently I decided to load up to mods (had some previously - basic ones just editting some of the environment) that changed a lot of the game. Well here is my problem:
I have just created my character, left the sewers and I start to walk around. Then my screen goes black, and my monitor light goes to yellow like its not receiving any signal. I can still hear the game, And when it does this it almost sounds like the computer shuts down. For those few seconds my fans stop but the pc is still on. I can still hear the game, but I cant see it or get out of it. I am not sure if I installed the mods wrong of if I am using too much. I got a GeForce 7600GT - never had any problems till i started using some of these more advanced mods. I am not sure if my card is messing up or what. |

Re: Oblivion Issue - Help
Hi,
The first thing to do is to take all the mods off, and see if the problem persists. If it doesn't, you can be pretty sure it's one of the mods causing it. In that case, load the mods back in one by one and test each time, until you locate the troublesome one. If it's not the mods, then we'd need to start looking at temps and voltages, etc. Download Everest (in my sig) and go to Computer -> Sensor. Record all the temps and voltages there, firstly when the system is idle, and secondly, after a few minutes in a game (Oblivion, if you can get it to run long enough). Post both sets of info here for us to look at.
