Gamepad issue: apparently not connected [moved from Hardware]
I appropriately plugged my usb gamepad into my computer. When I go to control panel/game controllers the gamepad shows up and its status is "OK". However when I click on properties to go to the test screen an error message comes up reading "Your game controller is not connected correctly. Please verify that it is plugged into your computer". Well I have no idea whats up with this as the gamepad is clearly connected. I am sure there is no problem with the gamepad itself as it works on my dads computer. Previous to this i had been fiddling around with libusb trying to use my ps3 sixaxis controller, and after hours of struggle when i managed to finally get the pc to recognize the sixaxis i received the above error message. Im not sure if when i was fiddling around with the system 32 folder if i got rid of something or touched something i shouldnt of.
So if anyone has any idea of what i can do i would GREATLY appreciate it as i have been pulling my hair out trying to get this stuff to work. |

Re: Gamepad issue: apparently not connected (LIES) - Please Help
I'll move this thread over to the Gaming forum where they have more experience with setting up this type of device.
What files did you remove from system32? Have you tried a Windows repair install or the Windows System File Checker? Start > Run > sfc /scannow (note the space after sfc). Does your motherboard support USB 2.0? Do you have problems with any other USB devices?
