[SOLVED] Counter Strike: Source running problem.
Ok so one night i was playing CS:S and then went to sleep. The next morning i go to play and error came up:
The instruction at "0x10373e2c" referenced memory at "0x0e41a1a0". The memory could not be "read". Click on OK to terminate the program. So i got back into my steam and uninstalled CS:S from there. I then re downloaded it and tried again, but the same error came up. Does anyone know why this is happening? |

Re: Counter Strike: Source running problem.
Did any game modifications download from the server you were playing on? It could be a corrupt game mod, which would be why it is making your reinstalled CS:S still not work.
check your Steam\SteamApps folder for anything other than the main game files. |

Re: Counter Strike: Source running problem.
Just delete it from your steam directory (When steam is closed) and then steam will automatically download it again when you start it back up.
Edit: Always make a backup of what your deleting.

Re: Counter Strike: Source running problem.
base source engine.gcf is the games engine that runs HL2, CS:S and below (engine2 is for EP1-2 and portal), the others like Counter-strike source client.gcf contains the games materials, models and other stuff..
If you have no problem playing the games like HL2, lost coast then the problem lies with the games gcf.
