...that's what my computer says every time I try to open Syberia II..
Some time ago I had some severe trouble with my computer's network adapter - I couldn't use my computer without turning the adapter off. I did a lot of updates, reinstalls, virus/spyware/registry cleaning and so on and after all those efforts my computer would work normally again BUT Syberia II wouldn't start, giving the same excuse... :( It worked fine before. I remember that when I tried to start it in Safe Mode (it was the only way I could use my computer when my network adapter went crazy) it said the same thing so I assumed it was some restriction. I updated graphics drivers, rolled them back and updated again, updated DirectX but nothing helps There were no problems with DirectX... (according to the diagnostic tool). I disabled some processes in.. I can't remember where, some kind of a console *blush* Maybe there was a process that was crucial for the game to start? I had so many processes going on that I disabled some that seemed non-important (like some annoying applications that keep eating the CPU). Sadly I don't remember how to get there... I know, it's stupid. ![]() Please, could you help me? |

Re: 3d rendering engine could not be initialized
I'm going to have to agree. The rollback function shouldn't work if your graphics card drivers are installed properly.
Could you possibly enlighten us on what graphics card you have? |
