transfer error

I bought this game rome total war today its from creative assembly. and so i tried to install it, but while installing the first disk an error message came out.

Feature Transfer error
Feature: Rome: Total War data
file: E:/data2.cab
error: DAta error (cyclic redundancy check)

My last rometotal was activision and it installed fine

i need help on this





i have a dimesion 3100 dell
the model no. is either DCSM or L230n-00 system model: dell DV051


pentium (R) 4 CPU 3.00GHz, 1.24 of RAM or 1024 mb of RAM, intel(R) 82915g/gv/910GL Express Chipset Family, sigmatel audio 5.10.4823.0000, 1152X864 (32 bit) (75hz)

Sounds like you got a bad install CD.

Check the data surface for scratches or glue. I have had install CDs out of the box that actually had box-glue on it.

If the game is new, get a replacement.
