Stalker Graphic problem

Ive recently bought a new machine. OS: XP service pack 2Geforce 8600GT 256mb* x2* (running SLI)AMD 6400+ processor duel core3GB DDR2 800 RAMmy old machine played stalker resonably okay. The spec was...OS: XP service pack 2Geforce 7600GT 256mb x2 (running SLI)AMD 3700+ processor1.5GB DDR4 RAMbut since ive upgraded stalker has major graphic issues. From what i can gather the game lags up wen i look at a fire, or i fire a gun, or there is a gun flash, and i mean it really lags up, its un playable, but if i look away like into a wooded area say in cordon, its fine

ive tried running it with latest forceware drivers, and older ones, ive uninstalled the game countless times, ive even just this night formatted my pc. still the problem is there. any help

Re: Stalker Graphic problem

got a 500W true power supply, temps are fine, nothing to worry about, infact there lower, only slightly, but lower then what my old machine spec was, both cards are around 44c. again i mite be wrong but i cant see that been a problem as i run more demanding games, such as crysis and call of duty 4, with no problems, appart from crysis been a big problem itself lol.

Re: Stalker Graphic problem

ive installed it on another machine with exacly the same spec, but a lower processor, and i have the same problem. i then installed it on a machine running a lower spec with an AGP card, and i didnt have the problem, which leaves me to belive theres a driver issue somewhere with the cards, as both machines with similar spec use same drivers

Re: Stalker Graphic problem

so 27watte over....but i play more graphically demanding games then stalker, with no problems... i think its best if i put this problem forward to the nvidia support site as it could be a driver issue. you have been fantastic help. thank you. will deffinatly use this site again for further help
