Re: call of duty 4

List your computer specs, specifically your video card. That error 99% of the time indicates your video card doesn't support the game. Mike

Re: call of duty 4

There are 2 things to try, one is to update the video drivers. Two is to increase shared video memory. Go into your bios usually under chipset options and look for memory sharing. The memory you are transferring to your video chip is from your system ram. If you don't have very much ram to begin with, you can't share too much. Choose the system ram first before your video, as ram is used a lot more by all your programs than your video. Mike

Just choose your operating system. After you download, uninstall the old and install the new. Mike

Re: call of duty 4

That Chipset is not powerful enough to play CoD4. Please post ALL the specs to your system and I can see what might you might be able to do to make it work...

Re: call of duty 4

I am having a horrible time just trying to get the windows installer and the game to cooperate.

I have an XP 64 OS
Intel duo Core 3.0ghz
8 gigs of memory
500 gig HD
Nvidia 7800 g card.

Any help would be appreciated. Thanks,

Arthur

Re: call of duty 4

kingarthurhk, you should start your own thread.

johny.bell, you definitely need a better video setup if you want to play this game. Newegg has some great deals on GeForce 8600gt cards for under $100. All the systems I have built in the last 3 weeks are all running this card, and COD4 and Crysis are my final bench tests to see how the system performs. Mike
