problems running bioshock on my PC

i have a dell with vista home and when i bought bioshock from circuit city, they checked my computer to see if the ram and exc. was capable to play the game and they said it was. but when i ran the game the screen is not how it is supposed to look. i know how the game is ran b/c my friend has it on x box 360 and i know mine is screwed up. I was advised to get computer support online and ask how i should tweak my computer to play the game. does anyone have any advise for me?

Re: problems running bioshock on my PC

Hi Alex, welcome to TSF

Please post a screenshot from the game so we can see what's wrong.

Are you using the default or lowest graphics settings in Options? What screen resolution is the game set to?

What make/model is your graphics card, and which driver version do you have installed?

Re: problems running bioshock on my PC

well its not the resolution or graphics settings. i have tweaked those and it does nothing. and some reason i cant get the screen shot to work but the best i can describe is when i try to move the screen goes black. also the screen has lots of little squares on it. i can barely see what is going on and i cant even maneuver through the opening scene.

and i dont understand what your saying about the graphic card or the driver version. but my computer in a inspiron 1521 dell.

Your graphics card isnt up to date...you need a new one. A graphics card is inside your computer =P you can buy one and have it installed...Sometimes they can be pricey...but they are worth it...i had the same problem.
