"Call of Duty" error message
attempting initial install of Activisions "Call of Duty 4" for win xp/vista from DVD. error message" E:/-is not a win 32 appplication." E is my dvd drive in which the DVD was placed. No problems loading any other software , auto-run works fine with other cd/dvd except this one. Attempts to open setup file from dvd generate same error. No new mods to system or os. System config is as follows and meets all min requirements for software:
Home build : AMD dual core X2 2.01 GHZ ASUS A8NE socket 939 Mobo Nvidia force 4 chipset DDR 333 Ram 2GB Nvidia GT 66oo video card LiteOn DVD/CD dual layer drive using InCD software Seagate Sata II 200 GB vertical write HD Phoeniz Bios Bios and all drivers updated 6 mos ago. OS: Windows XP prof. SP 2 with recent MS security updates Why this error message when this program clearly is Win XP compatible? Last edited by Matthew Reif; 12-28-2007 at 03:52 PM. there are some of us that are gamers here and some that are not so what i would do if i was you is go to the Games Forum here at this site for you will be dealing with the techs that deal with games on a daily basis i am not a gamer but i thought i would let you know for you will get a faster response in the Gaming section of the forum and the techs can give you the proper advice Mike
