Problems with reinstallation

Hello, this problem could concern any software, but in this case it is a game called Gothic. After removing it first time, all attempts to reinstall it ended up with a choice to either repair, or modify, or uninstall. I tried about 5 programs repairing and cleaning the registry, removed all the registry entries of Gothic manually, but nothing helps.

What could be a possible solution?

you have missed something in the registry

any suggestions where to look? searched couple times, couldn't find anything with similar name of the game or a developer and so on, the only "gothic" entry left is the font =D
