[SOLVED] Cod4 Major Issues!

So I go out and buy a new video card (nvidia geforce 8600 GT) I am still getting the directx error.

I am at my wits end! I have tried EVERYTHING and to no avail...NOTHING!

Can I possibly return the game? Does anyone think it may be the game itself? I cant get multiplayer or single player to work.

The thing that blows my mind is that when I first bought the game and installed it, I was playing it for 3 hours. I shut down went to bed woke up the next morning only to start seeing the directx error!

Also...is it normal for COD4 to take over an hour to install?

PLEASE SOMEONE HELP ME!

SO HERE IS THE DEAL...................

I UPDATED THE DRIVERS ON MY NEW VIDEO CARD AND....WAAALAAA!!!!!

IT WORKS!
