Game Problems (Wc3 and Silkroad)

Ok..I partitioned my drive so me and my parents can have totally different spaces...PLEASE do not give me a lecture about why i shouldn't have done this because i don't care.

Point is...When i first started this partition it didn't even have the right drivers for sound. I installed java, directx, and adobe flash and maybe some other updates that came from windows updates..but i can't play games.

I installed Warcaft 3 and the expansion but whenever i click the icon it shows the Wc3 loading screen (for me its Evil Artharas because its frozen throne) but it just..stays like that and freezes...

Another thing which is more important is that i downloaded the Silkroad Online client..but when i try to install it, it says it encountered and error and needs to shut down. It gets to where i can choose where to install but no matter where i do it, it gives me the error screen and closes.

Have i missed any updates...or have not downloaded something..whats going on?

*edit update*I made Silkroad install on C partiontion (i'm D...C is the big parents side) and it worked..but why won't it work for c?)

Re: Game Problems (Wc3 and Silkroad)

That last part is a little hard to understand. Do you mean why won't it work on the D drive? I'll assume you do unless you say otherwise.

Are you sure you updated ALL of your drivers? Make sure you updated your video card.

Re: Game Problems (Wc3 and Silkroad)

yes it is true, I have the same problem here, but the difference between me and iball is that I have everything "windows, directx, hardware compatibilities, etc..." is installed and updated and any game run for me. however still have the problem here.

each time I open the set up client, either it tells me: "this is a client file that can be used after legend3 update" or the setup opens finally after a series of tries and when I come to choose a directory, windows keep telling me an error message: "SilkroadOnline_GlobalOfficial_v1_150.exe has encountered a problem and needs to close. we are sorry for the inconvenience."
