Soldier of Fortune 2 - FPS Help

Hi there, I recently bought a Sapphire x1950Pro 256 PCI-E hoping to get 333FPS in SoF2, but my FPS is almost the same as it was with my old card, an x800GTO.
For those who don't know, 333FPS allows you to make some nicer jumps(mainly) as it's a bug in most Q3 engine games.
My FPS is easily playable at the moment, but i don't understand why i can't reach 333FPS in a game so old as this. Another strange thing i find is that my FPS isn't usually affected by quality settings in game, so when i have 250FPS with low settings, i usually have it with high settings too.
I also have:

AMD Athlon X2 5600+, (Runs cool)
2gb RAM, (2x1gb DDR 667mhz Corsair)
Asus M2V,
Enermax Noisetaker 485W

Crysis,NFS-Prostreet, HL2 all work smoothly on high settings.

Does anyone know why i can't get 333FPS? ANY help is appreciated!

Re: Soldier of Fortune 2 - FPS Help

Thanks for the response, i just installed speedfan, and took a couple of screenshots of the Readings tab when i had Solder of Fortune running in the background. The problem is i couldn't figure out how to record the readings while i was in the game, so i had to minimize. The first screenshot taken was with 125FPS, and the second is max_FPS 333, although it never went above 250FPS.

I can't see too much differences in the voltages, but i'll try it again once i figure out how to record while i'm playing.

Re: Soldier of Fortune 2 - FPS Help

ok that does produce one heavy load on the bright side your temps, and voltages look good.so i think we can rule out a hardware problem.one more thing i will ask do you have the amd dual core optimizer installed?also it could be a cpu limitation after all you say you are getting 125 to 250 fps.

Re: Soldier of Fortune 2 - FPS Help

OK i just installed Dual Core optimizer from the AMD site. Unfortunately, no difference. :(

I found out that OpenGL are more CPU intense, but the thing i don't get, is that people have had 333 FPS with worse CPU's than mines. If you think it's CPU limitation, could you maybe advise one which would help get 333?

Thanks alot for the help so far. :D

Re: Soldier of Fortune 2 - FPS Help

its possible those people were running a lower resolution than you.hence a slower cpu could deliver the goods.lower resolution less processing, and other system resources would be needed.
