[SOLVED] Source Games crash at "Loading" (Screen)

Hi, Yes, I read the rules =P

Ive googled and gone everywhere to find a resolution to this issue.
Its really frustrating.

When I try to load Day of Defeat:Source or Counter-Strike:Source, the game will load like it normally does, then when it gets to the loading screen before the menu shows up, the game will flash a black screen (about 800x600 in size or smaller) the screen goes black, then crashes to desktop without an error message or anything..

I have updated everything, source games update themselves, tried to force a lower DX setting and nothing works.

Ive played these games for about 2 or less years before this has happened.

=[ now im stuck playing Red Alert 2.
Someone save me? =P

Re: Source Games crash at "Loading" (Screen)

I got it working.
It must have been bad catalyst drivers.
I uninstalled all video drivers and display drivers.
Then installed the ones that came on the CD (Old ones)
And it works fine.

ATI is terrible with its updates =/
