Poor Benchmark Score

I have been noticing a decline in performance over the months from my System, I regularly suffer from Microtears when playing games, however my graphics card is beyond it's warranty so that is unfortunate but even so when I ran 3dBenchMark06 and recieved a score of just 2988 it felt like i'd been slapped.

My PC,

Windows XP Sp2
AMD 4200+ Dual Core
Geforce 7900 GT/GTO
2GB Ram
300GB HD
550 PSU
AN8 Socket 939 mobo

I will include a more specific description of my PC as an image (from when I purchased it) bare in mind I now have 2 monitors, the one i bought and an old CRT. PC was assembled in Mid May 2006

why dont you try speedfan post back the temp,and voltage readings.

Yes I do, and it's the same score. Im considering formatting loading up windows Vista Ultimate instead. Fresh start.

i have found a fresh load of windows solves many problems.if you reload your machine be sure to post back if that fixes it,or not.

2958 with new Vista installed, sigh, and p.s. man vista is a delicate peice of work! im now experiencing an issue where I cant dualview... bug after bug after bug...
