EEK! I bought orange box and 3 Half life 2 games crashes on the loading screen

Firstly i want to thank for preparing such a great site, i hope i can get through this problems... i made quite a lot tests and stuff, i digged steamed support pages for "game crashes" i tried ALL the stuff written there so far, i want to give you a a report of what i did.
(i already looked those topics about half life 2 crashes, i seen 1 guy is having the same problem but his problem is on the progress of being solved too, anyway here u go)

ok i have a sony VGN-A617S laptop which i bought 1 year ago.(u guys can look the specs, but it already fully passes the req test, so i will pass) i formatted the computer when i get these errors, (i was able to play portals and team fortress 2 back then) i have a fully setup computer now, i installed all the required stuff from my toolkit . firstly i thought it was because of drivers i am using, thanks to sony which hasnt updated its video drivers for over a year now, I know those are not "Gaming" laptops but they deserve an updated drivers, anyway i downloaded some "Omega" drivers which has all models of ati, its a custom driver but its up-to-date.
after this hadnt worked i looked more of the steams support pages, and after did whats written there, i looked the "game launch options" part and entered the codes in there, -nosound worked fine for me and i was able to play the game, i mean all the 3 games. Of course i dont want to play those games without sound, so please help!

(i looked the 8 ways to solve problem without getting help with someone but they didnt work, i havent tried to re-installed the game though, but i am now "re-downloading" it and sony still gives release of same "sound driver" so if anyone can help about that, that would be great, and i already e-mailed to steam about my problem, 4 days yet no answer.)

Edit : Mentioned games above are : Half life 2, Half life 2 lost coast, Half life 2 episode one.

If you could find alternate drivers for that sound chip its worth a try. Have you tried turning off/on the hardware acceleration in dxdiag's directsound options?

no i havent found any alternate drivers for the sound hardware, and yes i tried lowering the directx drivers and applied codes like " +_70, 90" and so on, i tried the hardware acceleration too.

and I re-installed the game now and still doesnt work, i feel really bad that i have a feeling which tells me that i will those games without sound
