Problem with the UT3 Beta-Demo
Greetings TSF, yet again.
I'm currently experiencing a very annoying problem with the demo of UT3, as the title suggests... After approximately 1 minute in-game, it crushes to the Desktop informing me that the Video Card did not respond to the graphics accelerator, and thus has been restarted. I can get back into the game and play though it still happens all the time. I've updated the drivers and still... Worth marking is the fact that the problem does not occur while playing other games (such as CoH). Any suggestions? Almost forgot about the system specs: Motherboard – Asus P4S533-VM (3 PCI, 1 AGP, 2 DDR DIMM, Audio, Video). CPU – Intel, Pentium 4, socket type - It says "1 socket - 478", and speed/frequency - 2.4 Ghz. RAM – 512 MB (PC2100 DDR SDRAM). Video Card(s) – ATI, Radeon 9600, XT, 256 MB. Hard Drive(s) – Maxtor 6Y060L0 (60 GB, 7200 RPM, Ultra-ATA/133). Operating System - Windows XP Professional Edition. Last edited by Puretide; 10-13-2007 at 10:54 AM. |

have you tried updating your video card drivers.ut3 is very new older drivers may not be able to handle it.

Re: Problem with the UT3 Beta-Demo
have you tried reducing the graphics settings of the game.because you just meet minimum requirements.

Re: Problem with the UT3 Beta-Demo
Umm pretty much yes. I think the lower they are, the greater the period till the message comes up.
Weird thing is that I can run the game at "high" settings, and the game will play pretty smoothly. It's not exactly 'high' - if you played the demo then you know what I mean. As I said before, it doesn't happen with other games. I can run CoH (which is also very demanding for my computer) at max settings & this message won't appear.
