Silkroad + Firewall problems!! *pulls hair out*

So Iv gotten to the point, where I have uninstalled everything on my system that is concidered "Security and Firewall" and am my other PC to find the fix.

First off:

I installed Silkroad Online. Patch it (just fine!), Then when I press start after the patch, it waits a second, then comes up with this error; "Please Execute Silkroad.exe"

I believe this is because gameguard is being blocked, or the SRO_Client.exe is being blocked. Most likely the client. The only trouble is that is I am not using any security, and my other PC is just fine. (Same wireless just to let you know, so its not router firewall)

Is there a way to check my system for all firewalls, and then cut them out? If not, what the heck do I do?

Re: Silkroad + Firewall problems!! *pulls hair out*

I had alot of different things running in unicen. I ran a crap cleaner after, not sure if that did it. Id list what I had but it would be pointless becuase I might miss one.
Is there a way to scan the PC for anything being used as a Firewall?

well i would run a file search for the security app's you got rid of.possibly even a regedit will be needed to fully get rid of those.

ohh, I see what you mean.
Is there a way to scan by ports to see what programs or traces may be blocking them?

go ahead and do the file searches to try to get rid of any leftovers.a regedit may be needed to get rid of all of it.we will cover that later.

Re: Silkroad + Firewall problems!! *pulls hair out*

Ok, cool.
I did a search for "Firewall" and found one program, but it didn't fix the problem.

So, Heres what I think I want to do.

1. A way to clear my PC back to Windows and just reload my system.
2. A way to scan my PC for all programs that are firewalls/ or scan PC ports to find what is running.

Right-click the shortcut to the game and select Properties. Make a note of what it says for Target. Open Windows Explorer and see if you can go to the location listed for Target. If not, create a new shortcut using the correct file path.

personally i think i would uninstall the game.be sure to delete all files for it,and reinstall the game with no patch.just to see if the game will start.if it will the patch may have been a bad download,or possibly installed incorrectly.
