CS:S Error

Hi I have been having a problem trying to get CS:S to work on my computer I have tried all the fixes that I could find. And nothing has worked.

The error is datacache.dll has encountered an error i have tried everything to fix this even several reinstalls if anyone has a way to fix this problem it would be greatly appreciated.

i am using:

Intel Celeron 2.8G Hz
256 Mb RAM
128 Mb radeon video card
all my drivers are updated
and i meet all game requirements

here is someones fix for this from another forum.


sometimes, steam's cache gets corrupted (like your case) and needs to be fixed. all i can say is backup your binds and such and delete local game content. i also heard somewhere that if you delete the datacache.dll that Steam makes a new one , but i would NOT recomend that solution. all i can remember on that subject, i just deleted local content and reran it and it fixed everything by itself.

I have tried deleting local content and deleting datacache.dll stiill no luck

yeah on that other forum some people said that did nothing as well.i will continue to research this problem for a definitive answer.
