The problem is exactly what the title says. Actually, any game I play does that. I play it for about 30-60 minutes, and then my computer will suddenly restart. Re: Condemned: Criminal Origins computer suddenly restarts
I have a RAID AX Power Supply. ATX12V Power.
Model Number: KY - 520ATX Before we get into anything else, a new problem has arrived. My computer doesn't get past the boot screen. I can't use DEL, F1, F5 F11 ETC. Nothing works. As of right now, I am on my dad's computer. This happened after I opened my PC and vacuumed the dust out. I took my video card out, but made sure to put it back in place and plugged into one of the many power cords inside. I didn't take anything else out. |

Re: Condemned: Criminal Origins computer suddenly restarts
Alright. I just checked everything again and take out/put in my video card again, and now when I turn on my computer it makes an endless cycle of loud beeping. Endless.
Doesn't that mean that either a fan isn't working properly or something is about to self combust? |

Re: Condemned: Criminal Origins computer suddenly restarts
This could either mean overheating, ram not seated correctly, or the graphics card. Check that your heatsink does not wobble, take out your RAM and reinsert them, and reseat the graphics card. Then report back if it still beeps.

Re: Condemned: Criminal Origins computer suddenly restarts
I just checked the power supply fan (from the inside of the computer) while the computer was on, and the fan isn't spinning quite right. It spins a bit, then suddenly stops like as if I just put my hand in it. Starts spinning again, then suddenly stops again. If I blow into the fan, it continues to spin.
I'm gonna need a new power supply aren't I? :< |

Re: Condemned: Criminal Origins computer suddenly restarts
Now that I read it, probably yes. I didn't know about the PSU. You should look into buying a new one, they have lots of good ones on http://www.newegg.com

Re: Condemned: Criminal Origins computer suddenly restarts
I guess but you can never know with computers and hardware. You may have static shocked a peripheral in the computer. At this point you should try bench marking it. Disconnect everything except for your PSU, motherboard, and 1 stick of RAM. Then keep adding components until you hit the problem.

Re: Condemned: Criminal Origins computer suddenly restarts
What PSU would you guys recommend? I'm looking for something reliable, yet cheap. I'm looking around the $40-60 range, from NewEgg or Microcenter.
Oh, also my computer case is an ATX model. Letting you guys know just incase if this is neccessary information. |

Re: Condemned: Criminal Origins computer suddenly restarts
Update: Strangely, after not touching my PC for a while, it decides to turn on once again. Now the only problem is the PSU (inside) fan. It's still barely blowing. I don't know what to think about it since the following~
1.) It supplies enough power to my PC. 2.) The fan appears to be working poorly. 3.) Despite the fan, there is nothing wrong with the PSU. 4.) I really don't want to spend extra money on a new PSU. Don't need the extra hassle. Could the PSU really end up being a threat to my PC? (The possibility of it exploding or catching on fire maybe) Which side would you guys lean to, buy a new PSU, or not? I haven't tried playing any games to see if it works or not. I'll try that tomorrow. |

Re: Condemned: Criminal Origins computer suddenly restarts
yeah that power supply could be a threat to your machine.it could fry,and take other parts of the pc with it.before we go that route have you scanned for viruses, and spyware?
one of the main reasons im thinking power supply is.those errors you listed point to memory errors, and the 3.3v that the memory runs on is reading low.

Re: Condemned: Criminal Origins computer suddenly restarts
No viruses/spyware (a get a couple of spyware per week, but SpyBot takes care of that for me).
I'm pretty sure this is a software issue (excluding the PSU and it blowing on me anytime now) with my graphics card. Either that or a DX problem? |

Re: Condemned: Criminal Origins computer suddenly restarts
Well, I've been playing Condemned for about an hour and a half now, and so far, no problem. My computer hasn't restarted at all. Maybe it was a hardware problem and I just needed to reinsert the graphics card?
