[SOLVED] patch wont run

i bought battlefield 2 the other day and im trying to instal the latest patch. its version 1.41. i downloaded it from ea but the darn thing wont run. i click on it and windows asks me if i want to run it. i click ok and then nothing happens... plz help

i would re-download the patch you may have gotten a bad apple.

redownloaded it from a different source. same deal :(

do you have all your windows updates?especially the newest versions of direct x,and the windows installer.

as far as i know yes. this was weird i just kept trying and it just worked one of the times at random..... so idk what was up
