PC racing wheel aid needed
Hello,
I've tried emailing Logitech about this and have gotten no response, nice to know I spent 300$ on their product and they don't back up their support claims :(. I've recently bought an older game, Saturday Night Speedway, the last game in the Dirt Track Racing Series. I have a Logitech G25 wheel. When I plug it into my PC, the axis' are recognized as the following Steering - Axis 5 Accel/Brake Axis 6 Clutch - Axis 7 Every game I have has been fine with this, however Saturday Night Speedway gives me a notice saying "Axis 5 not supported" when I try to configure the steering in the game. All I need to know is whether or not I can change the axis numbers for my controller to suit this game. Any and all help would be greatly appreciated, as it's been two weeks since I tried to contact Logitech and have gotten nothing in return, kinda ridiculous if you ask me but that's big business I guess. -Philip. |

not 100% for sure about that specific game, however every game ive played with a wheel you could change,or customize the controls.

Re: PC racing wheel aid needed
I know you can for most games, but apparently this one does not work on every axis the PC can throw at it. When I try to configure the controller, the game freezes and I have to ctrl/alt/delete out of the game, and that's when I get the notice that the axis isn't supported, and then the game crashes.

Re: PC racing wheel aid needed
I think the game must support Logitech Force Feedback. However, try using the software disk to configure the steering wheel somehow. You can also get the latest software from the following link:
http://www.logitech.com/index.cfm/441/131&cl=gb,en If none of this works, you may want to consider phoning Logitech.

Re: PC racing wheel aid needed
All right so here's a quick update to my problems with this thread --
I ended up having to reinstall XP in order to update to SP2, which is now complete. My G25 is now being recognized by the system as a Logitech Driving Force Pro, i.e. there's no clutch, different buttons, FF isn't working, it's recognizing a completely different controller that is in no way connected. No idea why this came about, I've tried going to the Wingman site and checking out a couplethings, none of which have worked. Anyone ever heard of this problem? |
