[SOLVED] DirectX problems
Hi!
Whe I fired up Guild Wars today I noticed that it lacked the usual "ooooh, cool" that it normally has. I ran the DX Diagnostic and was shocked to see that AGP Texturing was disabled and so was DirectDraw. The Enable buttons are greyed out. I reinstalled my motherboard driver, video drivers (not to the latest, they lack support for my new monitor) and then threw down with the August 2007 distribution of DX9c. No effect.

Re: DirectX problems
Hi ebackhus
I had a bit of a google and came up with this, strange but may work www.andrew.cmu.edu/~twm/stuff/directdraw.html This page offers the wierdest solution to the problem. It suggests the following: - start NetMeeting (!!!) - in the options menu, select remote desktop sharing - follow the wizard through, as if you are installing it - after it's started, go to the same option and disable remote desktop sharing After this, DXDiag should show all acceleration buttons being enabled!!! Strange but possible helpful??

Re: [SOLVED] DirectX problems
Perhaps I've not paid enough tribute to it lately 'cause my Googling didn't get me that result. I found something about disabling things like capture cards, but I remembered it working just fine after installing it. *shrug*
