"Conflict with disc emulator software"

I am having this error message when I try to play Warhammer40000, Dawn of War. "Conflict with disc emulator detected. See www. securom.com/emulation". Now, I understand this is an issue with the piracy setting of the game, which is a manufacturer prob. However, I am having problems finding an answer in there forums, let alone finding the way to actually get support from them. The game had worked on my previous system. I recently purchased a dell xps 710, 4gbram, beefed up com. I'm trying to find someone who has had this prob and successfully fixed it. Dawn of war dark crusade works, and I have not bothered trying winterasault yet. Thanks a lot to whoever helps.

Well, are you running it from a CD/DVD or not?

Are you using any patches or cracks? Is the game mounted on a virtual drive?
