Flicker in games [RESOLVED]
I've had a problem with flickering while playing games for a long time, but it hadn't bothered me enough until now to try and fix it. I wasn't able to find anything through searching and uninstalling/reinstalling drivers didn't work either.
In general, there's a 100x100 square that does not render correctly. This has never been a problem outside of graphic-intensive games. It is usually, but not always, when playing in windowed mode. It is also usually, but again not always, centered around my mouse pointer. It's not game-specific as I've seen it happen in several. I attached a screenshot of it happening earlier at the loading screen of a game. When it happens during the game, the affected area usually just looks scrambled. It's readable, but with considerable difficulty. Last edited by edmazur; 06-07-2007 at 11:09 PM. |

Re: Flicker in games
I fixed it! Disabling "ATIRW" did the job. It's for either my remote control or TV tuner card. I'm not sure which, but I haven't used either in awhile so I disabled it.
Thank you so much and I apologize for not reading the sticky first! |
