Custom Resolution
Is it possible to make a game run in a resolution that isn't an option in the Settings? Someone told me it was possible, but idk how. I'm trying to do this with Rainbow Six Vegas which is a recent game, but it goes from 1280x800 to 1600x1050 (i think. not sure about the second digits, but i know it's 1280 and 1600
) but i need to get it to 1440x900. That's mainly because my monitor gives an annoying pop up telling me to put it in 1440x900 for best results that doesn't go away unless i hit a button on the screen and by the time i do that, i've been killed.

Re: Custom Resolution
Hi,
Firstly, check your monitor's OSD (options menu), as there will be a way to disable that message you keep getting. Secondly, I don't have that game myself, but there is usually a way to manually set the resolution for games. Check in the game directory (folder where you installed it) and see if you can find a ".ini" file, probably called "settings" or something similar. If it exists, that's where you're most likely to find the resolution settings - just look for a couple of lines with resolution numbers on it. It might look like this, for example: x=1280 y=800 Simply change those to 1440 and 900 respectively, and click File -> Save. That should be all you need to do. Keep in mind, however, that this isn't possible with all games.
