Tomb Raider 6: GAME_ERROR_STRUCTURED_EXCEPTION_HANDLE

A friend of mine is a TR6 fanatic (although she says TR3 was the best), and she's getting the following error:

I've set the Hardware Acceleration for Audio Playback to "Basic" (from "Full") and I've patched the game with traod_v52_patch.exe. She was still getting the error above. I tried loading earlier saved games - still no joy. I believe this error message may mean that the configuration for a saved game has changed, and is no longer the current configuration. Any ideas, fellas - apart from telling her to start all over?

just to rule out the possibility of it being a problem with the game saves.start a new game,and see if it does the same thing.if it works ok then ya know what the problem is.
