EEK! Video card help.....

Greetings,

I'm a newbie... just created my account 10 minutes ago, for this main reason.

I have an Acer 5004 with a SisM760GX. I mainly got it to use for school, but do occasionally install games to kill the boredom. So far every game has run flawlessly. But today, I got Tiger Woods PGA Tour 07, and while the game loads just fine, I'm having one display issue. Once I get the game started, everything displays except for the grass on the course. Everything else around, ie the trees, the player, etc, display just fine. Only the grass is missing. It looks as if poor Tiger is playing in snow.

Can anyone help here? Every thing in the laptop meets the game's requirements. I read in the troubleshooting link that came with the game, and it mentions changing your card's Anti-aliasing, and anisotropic filtering options. I can't find this in the Sis..... can it be done?

Any help would be greatly appreciated...

Thanks...

Re: Video card help.....

Hi, and welcome to TSF!

I would check the settings of the game. With SiS IGPs and GPUs, AA and AF are application controlled; they are adjusted in the game and not outside it. Also, there may be a detail setting that is not showing the grass because it is on a lower detail setting.

I am moving you to gaming support so the Gaming Team can help you out.

Question Re: Video card help.....

Thanks,

There were some settings that I'd already tweaked. I failed to mention in my first post that when the ball is hit, the divot from the grass that comes up looks fine, and when the ball lands, you can see the grass.... not as great as you should, but it's there.. kind like grass in a fog. Because of this I'm determined to get this problem licked.....

Anyone else? Please? Beuhler?

Re: Video card help.....

So far I've done all of the tweaks in the game, I've done the bios edit for the video card, still having the problem. I'm wondering if updating the bios overall would help. I'm also wondering the possibilities of the problem actually being the game itself, maybe a glitch or defect...

Also, per Pharoah's post, I will post my system specs as soon as I compile the info.
