Question Sims 2 video card problem
Hi, when i try to play the sims 2 it gives me this error,
untitled.bmp
i have tryed new drivers and it still didn't work.
It would be great if someone could help me thanks.

It says that the card in your PC isn't capable of playing that game. Can you tell us a bit more about the computer you're using?

A 9550 can certianly run Sims 2. It may be a driver issue or a DirectX issue. Take a ride to www.ati.com and get the latest Catalyst drivers for your card and then visit www.microsoft.com/directx for the latest build of DirectX for your OS.

run through the follow these steps first link in my sig.if nothing there helps post back.also when was the last time you did a disk cleanup,and defragment.have you scanned for viruses,and spyware?

I don't know if this will help but all the tests i do tell me i need to get the latest drivers and catalyst and i have.

After you formatted the drive, did you install the chipset drivers from the motherboard CD, Microsoft Updates, SP2 and DirectX?

Run the DirectX tests in Start > Run > dxdiag > Display tab.

Which graphics driver version are you using?

no temps were over 30celsius and voltage were normal at like 1.5v
