Beeping noises - Symptoms - Slow frame rate
When i play World of warcraft or Counter-Strike : Source. or probablys any other video game for that matter, i can hear some ******* beeping, then the frame rates drop dramatically. I know there is some sort of certain code, but i've never really listened to it.
Have any idea of what the problem could be so im not wasting money on hardware that i dont need? Hasty response appreciated, :-) EDIT : It's possibly my GPU, if that helps? It's usually around 65 Degrees when browsing forums. But when i open up the game it can rocket up to 93 Degrees (Celcius), i think the fan is broken on it. It's a 6600 GT. AGP Motherboard. Oh btw i also downloaded Everest Ultimate Edition from bushtorrent for free so i have a good idea of my temperatures. Everything else seems normal tbh. Voltage: CPU Core ( 1.4 Degrees Celcius ) Cooling Fan: CPU ( 2.6 Degrees Celcius ) Temperature GPU Diode ( 70 Degrees just on the website ) 90-95 Degrees In game. Broken fan possibly responsible for this issue. Temperature: CPU ( 50-60 Degrees Celcius ) Mobo ( 25 Degrees ) I think its the graphics card. But there appears to be no reason why the fan should have stopped? Is there any reason it might have turned it self off, if so then is there a way i can reactivate it? Re: Beeping noises - Symptoms - Slow frame rate
Hi there, i've just upgraded my graphics card and its still making the same retarded noise.
high pitched noise & frame loss occurs still btw i have removed the heatsink on my processor and there is not much insulation gel there, could that be the problem? Last edited by Shujinko90; 04-11-2007 at 05:37 AM. |

Re: Beeping noises - Symptoms - Slow frame rate
your cpu is hitting 60 degrees? 65 is the thresh hold i believe. the beeping may be because your cpu is overheating. or it could be a number of things. my friends hard drive would beep when it would overheat (he ignored it and it caught fire). i would say to replace the cpu cooler if its a stock one, or put it on there better, and also maybe consider getting better case fans if you havent already replaced the ones that came with your case.
