Werid Graphics driver failure on C&C 3

Hey guys I'm having a graphics driver failure on C&C 3 this happens very occasionally It's kind of annoying when you've built up a big army and then it crashes ending up with me going crazy after wasting 30 mins of time

But this only happens on this particular game i have updated to the latest drivers the game seems the be running fine on high graphics (not ultra high) it seems to jutter a bit when there it too many units on screen but its isn't that noticeable if you're concentrating on the game

And pharaoh i have followed your instructions

Here is my report of everest attached Thanks guy's

you said you have updated to the latest drivers.have you installed any patches for the game if any are available.also would this be the most graphics intense game you have,or not.if it is heat may be an issue.

Re: Werid Graphics driver failure on C&C 3

Yes i have done everything you have said but heat maybe a issue but it does get quite hot but not much too a extent that it's really bad

I've had a new case with more fans on it so i don't really think it would be that but it does get to about 50C on the CPU and the board is at 20C but my cousin said that is a ok temperature for your computer and he does all computer management and system repairs so i doubt it could be heat but i would look into it if you would like me too.

well that cpu looks a bit warm.have a look inside the computer to see if its dirty inside.if you have a dust buildup on your fans, and cpu cooler this can have a very negative impact on cooling.

Re: Werid Graphics driver failure on C&C 3

It isnt very dust anyway i had a look about a week ago it was as clean as i got it and i didn't check it for months i think i might be the power supply fan is blowing out warm air and the fan at the back isn't getting enough cold air.

Your +12V reading of 12.6 is at the upper end of the accepted +-5% range. Try SensorsView again while playing a 3D game to put the PSU under more stress.

How many case fans do you have? The minimum you need is one at the front pulling cool air in and one at the back blowing warm air out, with an unobstructed path to allow the airflow to pass over the motherboard.

Ok i have 3 fans for power supply fan one at the back sucking cold air in and one on the side blowing hot air out i thought this was a bad idea since my cousin put it in.

Heres more voltages when i was playing C&C 3

Re: Werid Graphics driver failure on C&C 3

Reposition your case fans.

Your temperatures are looking better, but the +12V reading of 12.8V shows that your PSU could be the cause of your problem. What make/model is it? See if you can borrow a higher quality one to replace it with, then run a game and SensorsView again.
