Flight Simulator X installation

Every time I try to install this on my PC the installation completes without error, but when I try to run it the error message "The MSXML4 SP2 component is not installed Please reinstall Flight Simulator to restore or repair the missing component"

However it does not work and the same thing happens again. I have tried using sysconfig and turning off all but the MS services before installing but it stil doesn't run and returns the same message.

The PC is an XPC shuttle with 1Gb ram 500Mb hard drive and a pentium 4D dual processor clocking at 3.4GHz graphics 512 Mb GEforce FX6500

Surely this has enough horsepower?

Any ideas anyone?
