Problem with Panzer General for Win95

A teacher of mine wants to relive olden times, and found a copy of Panzer General on eBay. The disc has nothing wrong with it, and he says that he has had this problem with his Windows XP, and I have had this problem with Windows 95 running on Q and VMWare. This comes up every time that I start the game.

Hmmm. This is a tricky one.
Have you tried running it using DosBox? The Wiki I found said it was a DOS game.
I have a feeling it's only a compatibility problem. PG is trying to access the Virtual Memory of the OS, but it may not like XP or 95.

The original Panzer General is for DOS. The version that my teacher has states that it works for DOS, Windows 95, and Mac OS.
