CS:S installation problem

i had CS:S installed on my computer 4 a while, and HL2..last night, and the day before, every once in a while the game would freeze (CS:S)..and go 2 my desktop..i thought my GFX card was overheating, so i checked the temps and they were ok....soo i got tired of it freezing, soo i un-installed Steam and CS:S..i downloaded Steam instead of installing it from the CD..and i got a couple errors during the Steam installation..but went past them and i can run Steam..now with CS..said there was a error reading the CD from the CD-rom or an error with the package or something..iunno how that could be

...i will post a screenshot, if i can get the error again..here's a screenshot:

already clicked that link..not gonna help..already have updated drivers.

now i tryed 2 install steam again..and got this error like 3-4 time through the steam installation:

WOW..i am a huge noob lol..i didnt know i could just double click the game i want installed onto my computer with just double-clibking the game in My Games hahaa..i always installed CS from the CD..

i was wondering why on Steam it said u can access your games from any computer lol..

i'll post back when the games done downloading 2 tell u guys how it went

ok..well i was playing CS 4 a lil while..then stopped and left the computer alone 4 like 15 min..went back, tryed 2 join a server, it completely froze...i restarted, and it says "boot disk failure, insert boot cd and press enter" or something like that...i tryed 2 hd's already..and both say the same? im gonna try a 3rd
