battlefield2142, the maps just wont load. i need some help please [RESOLVED]

the game just wont load in after picking a server.
the problem is when i try to join a multiplayer game as soon as the game starts to load it just seems to stick at the begining and i wait sometimes 20 mins for it to load but it never does!! i did manage to get a game last night and WOW!! this games awesome!! so today ive been trying for 2 hours to get on one of many different servers ive tried and i have the same problem!!!!!! it just wont load the game in i even left it for 30 mins while i went for a bath and the loading bar is still stuck about a quater of the way in! is this normal??? i would have thought my system would be able to cope with this game?? any help welcome!! i have been told that it could be my cashe that needs cleaning out!

start with the follow these steps first link in my sig.also try a disk cleanup,and defragment.if none of this helps post back.

finaly got to the bottom of my problems thanx guys!!!:)
it was bullguard anti-virus blockin the game from connecting to maps
