ram and gfx card upgrade
all i want to do is upgrade my graphics card and ram. nothign else. basically i just want to get 125fps constant in a game called, call of duty. i'm bad with computers so i thought i'd ask here.
specs : cpu : AMD Athlon 64 3000 MoBo : Chaintech S1689 Ram : 512 (i want to add another 512) Gfx card : GeForce Fx 5500 that's about all i know in terms of specs friend works at bestbuy and gets anywhere from a 10%-60% discount depending on the brand. so, it'd be nice if you could give me links to bestbuy items. thanks |

Re: ram and gfx card upgrade
this would be a nice video card.going with another 512mb ram will help alot to.if your going to upgrade your video you may need a power supply to.

Re: ram and gfx card upgrade
yes your current motherboard is obviously agp,and the card i linked to is an agp card.a power supply like this would be good for some time to come through future upgrades.

Re: ram and gfx card upgrade
ah ok thanks...i don't really plan on upgrading in the future as i will be going away to college and won't be bringing my pc with me. if i was planning for the future i'd probably just build a new pc.
thanks for all of your help |
