Direct 3D acceleration?
I just got a dell and empire earth2 and it wont let me play it and the error message says "make sure direct 3d acceleration is enabled" i have direct x 9.0c here are the stats for my PC;
Dimension C521,Athlon 64 3200+(2.00GHz, 512K) 512MB DDR2 SDRAM at 667MHz 128MB ATI Radeon X1300 160GB SATA II Hard Drive (7200RPM) XP(Had vista but it didnt work with my game so i bought xp) 48X CD-RW/DVD Combination Drive So do i need a new graphics card or is there a way i can fix this without spending another 200? |

Welcome to TSF!
Go here: Control Panel -> Display -> Settings -> Advanced -> Troubleshoot. Make sure that the Hardware Acceleration is set at Full. Have you installed the latest drivers for your video card (check the ATI Drivers link in my signature)?
