laptop help please!!

Hi.
I've had a laptop which I used for gaming for about a year, but it's not really a gaming laptop, it's a Compaq Presario but it still played the games I wanted to play alright with just some lag. So the lag started to bother me a lot when I played World of WarCraft or Counter-Strike for example, so my friend told me to buy more memory. I had 512MB memory before, so I upgraded it to 1.12 GB.
The problem is, I haven't noticed any difference in playing my games it stills lag the same or may sometimes worse than before!

I have a
AMD Turion64 Mobile Technology Proccessor
1.6 GHz
1.12 GB RAM
ATI Mobility Radeon X200 with 128MB memory

can anyone help or suggest some upgrades I can make?
sorry for my english by the way

welcome to tsf.with integrated graphics on a laptop.your probably not going to be able to do anything about the lag.if your bios has any options to increase the video memory that may help a little.

Re: laptop help please!!

yeah he was right with the RAM but that is not the main issue. the main issue is the video card. sorry to say but it sux for games. I have a ATI 1400 256MB and it sux. My specs for my laptop are:

2.0GHz Core Duo
2GB RAM DDR2 997MHz
ATI X1400 256MB

and it plays Americas Army with low graphics @ 30fps if lucky. I say it's your video card, no way to upgrade without a new laptop, sorry man.
