Upgrading Video, need advice
Hi,
I just reformatted my computer and upgraded my RAM and my video card. I still am not getting the performance I need to run some of the games I would like to run, and would like some advice. Here are my specs: P4 2.4 ghz running on WIN XP Home 1 gig of DDR RAM GeForce 7600 256 mb AGP video Creative 24 bit external audio I am running Battlefield 2 and Call of Duty 2 well, but I am not able to get Day of Defeat Source or Company Of Heroes multiplayer running at even an average level. I am hearing from some sources to upgrade my video to the 7600 512 mb card, others are telling me to pay a little more for a 7800 256mb card. I am somewhat limited on fundage and there aren't many other options for my old AGP slot. What are your thoughts on this?? Thanks for your help!! Monkeyshine |

this, and this are probably the best agp cards that will ever be made.my question would be is it truly your video.ive run oblivion on a pci-e 7600gs,and it did ok.is that a socket 478 p4.if so you may need to upgrade motherboard, and cpu to keep up with modern games,or at least a faster cpu.
