Battlefield 2142 stops unexpectedley

Ok for the first time in like a month I was playing and my computer had a hard restart. I have already done the 9 step thing you have and already installed the latest patch for battlefield 2142 any suggestions.

i dont remember if we already did this, but try this.then report back on your temps.

also try this

Start-> Control Panel-> Add/Remove Programs-> Check the "Show Updates" box at the top.
Find the Windows security update number 917422, if you can see that update there then simply go to http://support.microsoft.com/kb/924867
You should find a set of fixes for the relevant operating system and it's a simple matter of installing those.

My System

Ok well every time my computer does a hard restart due to me playing a game it says that the system has recovered from a serious error then sends a log report and tells me, online, that it was a driver problem. But I have reinstalled all of my drivers. I have the 84.31 of the Nvidia drivers not any of the 90's. I probably should try updating my sound drivers though cuz I just got a new sound card but the sound card hasn't effected any other games.

If you got a new sound card, you need to make sure you uninstall the old drivers and install the correct ones for your sounds card.
