sims two!!!!!
i have installed sims two on my laptop... seems to sun ok, for about 30secs..... den it cuts out on me and goes to a error messge... what i have shown on the print screen below.. after this error, my screens to grow to a large size.... i have to then restart my computer to fix the size of screen... can any one help me please..

According to that, your display driver isn't working properly. Go to the laptop manufacturer's website, and download the display drivers from their download section. Uninstall the ones you have on there (explained below), then install the drivers you downloaded.
To uninstall the drivers, go Start -> Control Panel -> Add/Remove Programs -> *your display driver* -> Remove. If it is not listed in there, Go Start -> Control Panel -> System -> Hardware -> Device Manager -> Display adapters. Right-click on your display adapter, and click Uninstall. Let us know how you go.

After doing what Indoril said, if that doesn't fix the problem, try this:
Right-click The Sims 2 shortcut on the desktop. In the line labeled target, that ends in .exe" add a space and a -w to the end of it, so it looks like this: .exe" -w That will force the game to run in a window. I've been told this fixes a lot of display errors (I had a different error that was fixed with this method). If your computer can run the game a high resolution then you will barely notice the fact it's in a window. |
